Life is complicated and I cannot get it right So I try and turn the world around and keep things out of sight No communication ‘cos I cannot read the signs Crying, laughter all the same, I think outside the lines. Given up on reasoning, don’t need facts at all Intuition serves me well, I recognize its call Total saturation, I make the world I need Let me loose I’m in control, there’s nothing I can’t be Lift yourself up now, up into my world Don’t stop me staring, I’m thinking fast and slow Failed by education, lost in the world of work I never got the hang of life, ‘cos they made me feel a jerk “Lack of concentration” was always their best shot There’s no example in this world, so I never found the plot Lift yourself up now, up into my world Don’t stop me staring, I’m thinking fast and slow

Sitting on a beach wishing on a star I’m wondering where I left the car I know that I’m not easy to please But life’s simpler since I lost my keys Sleeping in the day searching for a dream Reality isn’t what it seems Lying in the sun trying to cool things down Their people ran me out of town Lightly frying in the summer sun Sucking a lotus having lots of fun Sand on my toes and waves in my hair I’m drinking tequila like I just don’t care

This is the rain we wanted, this is the flood This is the deluge happening from up above This is our constant failing, this is my word This is the danger calling, as it occurs Here is their power fading, here is the weight Here is the road we wanted to far away Here is the book of meaning, here is the lie Here is the voice of reason, I’m losing my sight But you don’t believe me or you will not say Taking all my meaning, walking away I’m not waiting for this ending I won’t live with their degrading lies This is the system breaking, this is the freeze This is the silent creeping, violence released This is the end of knowledge, this is the fall These are the new dark ages, blinding us all But you don’t believe me or you will not say Taking all my meaning, walking away I’m not standing still for ever I won’t live with their degrading lies

Sea Poem 03:49
Chased across the sea, guided by the headlands We can only wonder what land is this Blue distant hills, rivers empty here Shoals and shimmering of high lying sand And the stars, the stars are lower here You can wear the clouds as clothes Where the sea meets the sky And the moon falls below Green glow of night The rising whales are sudden islands They bring the scent of the soil But no land is here

I don’t want to make this journey, I don’t want to lose myself again Take back and keep me safely, leave me there pushed against the fence No ones got complete containment, no can keep them from my door I just need to sleep at night so I just need to dream a little more. I’m not that clever ‘cos it’s taken me for ever Spending all my time trying to get ready for the end. Tell me who is calling me up, tell me what is written on the wall Leave me in the trash and danger, send me out waiting for the call I’m not that clever ‘cos it’s taken me for ever Spending all my time trying to get ready for the end. I don’t need this anymore I don’t want this anymore I just want to be alone I just want to get back home

Dust on the sea shore, rain in the wind Chased by our history, fate falls away Sunset communion, fires in the sand Overseas in broken boats we land upon your shores Suffering our shame in silence, cannot feed our poor Life in the balance, please take my child This is not the way we wanted, this is not our time This is not the life we’d chosen, this is not our crime Dark travel daydream, clothes torn away Eyes in the woodland as roads fade away Where are we going? Who will be there? Far from our homeland, left without care

What’s wrong with standing still Who cares if nothing changes? Stay awake in a state of stasis That nothing rearranges I wanna complicate, I wanna elevate I wanna make amends for all the times I cannot wait I wanna simplify, I wanna terrify I wanna make a mess of all the plans I stupefy What’s wrong with standing still Who cares if nothing changes? Stay awake in a state of stasis That nothing rearranges I wanna infiltrate, I wanna automate I wanna stop it all and let the silence resonate I wanna clarify, I wanna qualify Don’t wanna waste my time and always have to justify Slow your heart beat down Slow your heart beat down Breathing like you want to live Knowing where the end lies Show your heart the ending What’s wrong with standing still Who cares if nothing changes? Stay awake in a state of stasis That nothing rearranges I wanna scintillate, don’t wanna vegetate I wanna break the chains and help the world celebrate I wanna dignify, I wanna verify I wanna take the lies and see what we can rectify What’s wrong with standing still Who cares if nothing changes? Stay awake in a state of stasis That nothing rearranges

Timmy won’t you come back home Timmy now I’m all alone, I need you, I need you Timmy now I’m on my own Timmy please pick up the phone, I need you, I need you Life let me down - There’s darkness all around Won’t you take me away - It’s been a while And you make me smile - Soft hands are open to you Timmy I don’t know who I am Timmy do you know why I’m sad, I’m lonely, I’m lonely Timmy come and take me away Timmy tell me what to say, I’m lonely, I’m lonely Time passes slow - There’s no where I can go You could save me from this - Life is so long But dying feels so wrong - My future depends upon you

You feel like a plane falling to the ground Burning up the air with a terrible sound Out of control and into the blue No idea what you should do Driving in the night feeling empty and cold You’ve run out of fuel at the end of the road You’re facing the wall and it’s looking at you I think you know what you came to do Lost in the city and its endless night Running up the road stretching out of sight Hungry and tired at the end of the line Is now the place to call it time? Home is a dream that you left long ago You walked out the door with nowhere to go Haven’t a plan but in your mind At least you’re safe from what you left behind Cold air - you’re breathing, this feeling, perceiving you’re leaving Snow on the ground, lying all around No one ever sleeps in the city of sound Midnight chimes from a thousand bells The soundtrack to one million hells You feel like a plane falling from the sky Burning up the air with a terrible cry Out of control you know it’s true Running from the one who left you black and blue Cold air - you’re breathing, this feeling, perceiving you’re leaving.

There’s an empty chair where once there was a heart You should be sitting there But we’ve been torn apart There’s a number on my phone that I’ll not use again I cannot call and tell you How I miss you You should be here You should be here You should be here You really should be here I’m standing still I’ve got nowhere to go I’m standing still Living a life you’ll never know

It’s near to the end of the day, the time has come to drift away I’ve said all that I wanted to say, there’s no reason for me to stay The night-time is my good place, darkness keeps me warm and safe Morning’s just a moment away, start of a beautiful day It’s near to the end of the day, time has come to drift away
